We all want to feel better. At times, I’ve thought that it is my right to feel better.
Somewhere I would read an article about a vitamin or a protein supplement and I would think, “I’ll feel great if I do that!”
I’d go out and buy the supplement and take it for a few weeks and then I’d forget to take it and sometime later I’d conclude that it didn’t make any difference.
Now I know that there is no magic pill that is going to make me feel great.
My thinking is that the best I can do is to eat real food. This includes lots of vegetables, meat and fish and I avoid as much as possible starchy carbs like bread (but not pasta).
Simple Meal Plans
My aunt used to preach the glory of meals with a protein, a non-starchy vegetable and a carb like rice. You could do better, but not too much better. Except with two vegetables.
And with a simple plan like that you can get good at following it.
And you don’t have stocks of supplements and super foods that you hate piling up in your kitchen and eventually in your garbage can.
