One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on
inside all people He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves
that live inside us all.

"One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance,
self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride,
superiority, and ego.

A recent article from the New York Times cites studies showing that people who are well fed have a better chance at exercising self control than those whose blood sugar is depleted. Furthermore, restoring blood sugar levels seems to replenish self control.
