Where to Find Good Locally Grown Food

There is nothing better than fresh, locally grown food. Ironically, it's hard to get these days. For example, my favorite green grocer here in St. Petersburg, Fl, tells me he gets most of his produce from Mexico. He says the locally owned offerings just don't look as good. I trust his judgment. He gets up six days a week to be at the produce market in Tampa at 1 am.

Too bad. Florida used to grow a lot of produce.

Peaches

I love peaches. This year they have been especially good whether from Georgia, which has a short and often delicate season or California, which seems to have a longer, more robust season.

When ever I see an eclipse of the moon, I think of peaches. Here's a nice shot taken in Japan of early Tuesday's eclipse.
