Agreed, and afraid of being old and weak
Wow. I agree. Sugar coated donuts will never be in the headlines because the people who make them are just way too powerful. I wonder wat would happen if they were. Would people even care? Maybe that's they're not in the front page. People are more interested in their immediate health and don't think long-term. They'll say, "Ah, it'll happen 10 years from now. I'll deal with it when it happens." But they don't realize what it takes to deal with it.
I know I'm young, but I've seen this stuff first hand. My grandmother has to take 15 pills a day just get through the day. And all she does is sit around and cook. Last night I had to help her get into and out of my van. I have no idea how she was able to get up the stairs. Not a place you want to be, and is one my strongest motivations in staying fit.

The real danger in the food supply
Yeah. It's kind of funny. The lead headline in the St. Pete Times a few months ago said, "Is our Food Safe?"
It was in response to some salmanella-laden spinach that got in the news. The irony is that someone who stuffs themselves with spinach everyday is going to be a lot healthier than the average American eater, the risks of catching a stomach bug notwithstanding.
