How much sunshine?Some good folks in Norway have devised a calculator to figure how much sunshine produces how much Vitamin D. It takes into account latitude, altitude, race, and local reflectivity. After evolving for millions of years in the sunshine, humans have steadily migrated indoors since the industrial revolution. Now a majority of us suffer from a deficiency of Vitamin D, which our bodies produce in the skin from exposure to the sun. Who'd thought?
