Another Legal Performance EnhancerThis time it's a steroid! A free steroid! One that humans evolved over millions of years to use, but are mostly deficient in. It's Vitamin D. Vitamin D is actually not a vitamin. It's a steroid hormone precursor. And there are credible studies that show that optimal levels of active Vitamin D (50 ng/mL) actually increases athletic performance. The natural source of Vitamin D is sunshine. But studies have shown that very few modern humans get the sunshine to have the optimal level of D in their bloodstreams. It stands to reason. Most of us spend most of our time indoors whereas our ancestors spent most of their time outdoors. Here is video on the subject of Vitamin D deficiency. Forewarning: this is long and scientific. However, it should be an eye opener for most people. I'm going to try Dr. Cannell's prescription of 4000 IUs of Vitamin D per day to enhance athletic performance. In four months I'll revisit the subject and give you a report. Click here for more performance enhancing hacks.
